How to Get Your First Network Marketing Sale
While I have been running my own network marketing business, I can admit that having my first sale was an exciting moment. I can recall the same feeling I had earning money over the internet, so the feeling is also similar with network marketing. Other individuals who participate in this industry can often become disappointed when they aren’t able to make sales immediately. This disappointment can quickly lead to quitting. This is why the retention rate in this business is low because people do not experience fast results.
Don’t Let Goal Setting Stress You Out
Goal seeting is a good idea and can be motivating, yet, if you place a time limit on when you’ll make your first sale and then are unable to achieve it, it will only lead to frustration. Setting a goal can create pressure and stress to what could be a fun activity. Network marketing should be fun or you may lose the passion to run your company.
Continue Your Marketing Education
A huge benefit of direct marketing is that just about anyone can begin. Usually, individuals create their own business without any marketing background at all. This doesn’t mean that a person should not improve their marketing skills. There are plenty of books available and web sites that will share marketing tips. Begin learning and putting what you have learned into use. You will gain experience and come even closer to making your first sale.
Internet marketing will attract sales and new prospects. You can utilize social networking web sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and others but do not solely depend on those sites. Constant marketing on those various web sites could have you labled as a spammer. People don’t want to be bombarded with advertisements when they are socializing online. Keep in mind that users are interested in products or services that are beneficial to them. Focus on the “What’s in it for me?” mentality.
Blogs are terrific when it comes to traffic and sales. That is why I suggest creating a blog for your own business. Write about how you utilize the products or services in you promote. Most people are very skeptical and if you can demonstrate that you are achieving results, the greater the odds they will want to experience it themselves.
Give Out Samples
One of my first sales was due to providing samples of one of the products I promote. It’s best not to over sell to people. Simply share your own experience. If someone is interested, they will follow your recommendation. Remember that we suggest items on a regular bases. The only difference is we aren’t rewarded for our efforts. I recommend books, restaurants, movies, web sites, products etc., without hesitation if I have had a positive experience.
Speaking highly of your products or services should be as natural as endorsing a fabulous restaurant.
If you are persistent, sooner or later you will generate a sale. After you have made your first sale, you will have the confidence and experience to repeat the process.
